Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Zoe.

At twelve, I was diagnosed with indeterminate IBD, and now, at fourteen, I’m navigating my way toward remission while working to make an impact in our community. Since my diagnosis, I’ve explored a range of holistic treatment options—seeking alternatives that weren’t as invasive or heavily reliant on medications, surgeries, or frequent doctor visits. Instead of fully depending on biologics, steroids, or other traditional treatments, I’ve been searching for a more sustainable way to manage my condition. One that doesn’t leave me completely tied to my doctor or burdened by the high costs of healthcare (something many of us in the U.S. can relate to). Through trial, questioning, and determination, I’ve held onto hope for what I like to call a “remissive cure.”

Am I there yet? Not quite. But along the way, I’ve read countless research papers, conducted my own experiments, and dreamed up possible solutions. And through all of that, I realized something: I needed a place to bring everything together. A space not just for teens like me, but also for parents, caretakers, or adults living with IBD—anyone looking for real, relatable, and helpful resources.

Even more than that, I dreamed of building a community. As a teen with IBD, I’ve been lucky enough to attend summer camps and join support groups that helped me find my identity with this diagnosis. But let’s be real—group chats didn’t always do this community justice.

What if there was a space you could visit for real advice or just to have a simple, honest chat about how IBD is shaping your life? Somewhere you could swap stories, share tips, and talk about things only we get—like flare-foods, diagnosis journeys, and what meds actually worked for you.

Are biologics really our best bet? How did you find remission? Or maybe, how did you even get diagnosed in the first place?

This space is for all those questions—and more. A place to connect, share, and grow together as we navigate this unpredictable journey. Whether you’re here to find advice, tell your story, or just feel less alone, welcome to a community that’s as real as it gets.
